Artists Valley, Furnace, Nr Machynlleth
This house set within open countryside has been converted from an oil system to be heated by a wood pellet Biotech 15kW MBW boiler that provides space heating and domestic hot water.
The occupiers built a small Cedar shingle clad extension designed by Dyfi Architecture (www.dyfiarchitecture.co.uk) to the side of the house to accommodate the boiler, cylinder and pellet bag storage area.
Reduced Carbon Emissions & RHI Returns
The installation will significantly reduce the carbon emissions from the property. In addition the overall annual heat demand of 24000kWh will generate a index linked payment of £2928 per year under the domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) for 7 years.
